
Matt earned his bachelor degree in political science from California State University Long Beach. He then received his legal training at Willamette University College of Law in Salem Oregon, including a certificate in alternative dispute resolution and clerked for the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Portland, Oregon.
Formerly of the Kitsap County Prosecutor’s Office, Matt’s cases included drugs, sexual assaults, domestic violence, property crimes, identify theft, three-strikes offenses and murder charges. In addition Matt helped establish the Kitsap County Drug Court. Matt is a member of the Washington and Kitsap County Bar Associations.
In January 2003 he was presented the 2002 Humanitarian Award by the Kitsap County Bar Association. He currently sits on the Board of Trustees for Martha and Mary and is a former member of the City of Poulsbo Library Board. |
